Research On Female Christian Students

Christians for Biblical Equality has been instrumental in initiating research into the gendered experiences of women at Christians colleges. They are basing their research within the CCCU (Coalition of Christian Colleges and Universities). Here is a feature from their latest electronic publication:

E-Quality

You will note that they cite research that was conducted by myself and my daughter concerning this topic. My daughter and I continue to be involved in collecting data surrounding this topic. It is important that this research be expanded beyond Cedarville University and I am pleased that this seems to be happening thanks to CBE!

That research on the gendered experiences of women at Christian colleges looks really interesting.

I see that that was posted a while ago, so I don't know if you still check the blog; you might not even get this.

I come from an evangelical background. I went off to college and lost my faith. I'm now in my first year of grad school for sociology (I study gender, religion, and social movements), and am trying to find my faith again. I just wanted to say that your blog (well, the parts I've looked at, one or two posts... I'll keep looking around though!) looks like it might be an inspiring example of faith, feminism, and the sociological imagination. So, thanks.
